Scuba Tank
A scuba tank is the cylindrical device that holds pressurized air for breathing underwater. They are also know as dive cylinders but cannot be used without a regulator to lower the pressure to a point where the diver’s lungs can handle it. Without one the air would be lost quickly and without being able to effectively inhale it.
A scuba tank can be made out of a wide variety of strong materials such as steel and aluminum although carbon fiber is finding its way into the market because of its incredible strength to weight ratio. The container should be free from dents and should be regularly checked for strength. Connections are just as important as the tank and should be checked with soapy water.
A scuba tank can be found wherever diving is popular. Beginning divers are better off borrowing good cylinders before deciding on a tank of their own. Different sizes are good for different types of dives and they can be fairly expensive. Remember that two tanks will be needed, a main tank and a back up.
