Scuba Regulators

Scuba regulators are the device that lowers the pressure from the tanks to a level that can easily be inhaled by the diver. Without one the high pressured air in the tank would be inaccessible or quickly lost making it one of the most important pieces of equipment. It also allows the carbon dioxide to easily escape.

Scuba regulators as slowly being combined with the mask for even more comfort and better vision for the diver. Typically the regulator will be in the diver’s mouth preventing any verbal communication. Since sound doesn’t travel very well in water (it travels fast but loses distinction) this has been okay, but with wireless technology and these new regulator/masks crisp clear communication can occur.

Scuba regulators can be found wherever scuba gear is sold as well as online retailers. Because of their importance it is not advised to buy cheap or used regulators. They aren’t too expensive and are one of the most important pieces of gear.
