Scuba Mask

A scuba mask is one of the most useful scuba diving accessories. They allow the diver to see underwater which is incredibly important and often times the reason people go underwater, just for the sights. There are countless things to see under the sea and a mask makes it possible.

A basic scuba mask seals around the eyes and nose. It is important that it goes around the nose because as the diver goes deeper underwater the more pressure will be put onto their eyes until they eventually pop. However, if the diver slowly exhales through their nose they can counter that pressure and continue to explore the depths.

The scuba mask is becoming more and more comfortable and useful everyday. The glass is no longer flat and narrow but allows for great peripheral vision and can even display information from a dive computer on a heads up display. The trend in masks is combining them with a regulator so the diver doesn’t have anything in their mouth and can easily speak. When combined with a wireless device divers can communicate without hand signs, something that is very rare among divers.
