Scuba Diving Equipment

Scuba diving equipment is essential to easily explore underwater areas. A minimal set up consists of a dive cylinder filled with air, a regulator to distribute the air to a mouthpiece and allow CO2 to escape, a diving mask, fins for propulsion and a wetsuit for warmth. Extremely cold conditions require dry suits which don’t let any water in as opposed to a wetsuit which allows water in and warms from the heat of the diver.

Scuba diving equipment can be found in shops close to popular scuba locations as well as in some random parts of the planet and of course online. Many coastal areas have dive shops that are easy to find but there are also a number of landlocked dive shops with access to deep pools, craters and incredibly clear lakes.

Scuba diving equipment should be taken care of very well to ensure that it will have a long life and be safe for the diver. Tanks should be secured to the deck at all times and should always be checked for dents and other damage. Connections should be sturdy and tight and can be tested with soapy water, if it bubbles something is loose.
